What are the costs?

To place an advert on the site it costs either £25 (for the gold package) or £30 (for the diamond package). Our advert that will then be listed on our site for a total of 12 months or until it is sold.

What are the Gold and Diamond packages?

The differences between the Gold and Diamond packages are as follows.

Gold

  • 3 photographs
  • Standard listing on our site.

Diamond

  • 6 photographs.
  • Premium listing on our home page for 70 days

Although our Gold package will get your dress seen, our more prestigious Diamond package offers the following additional advantages.

  • Appearing first above gold listings in searches.
  • Showing on our Homepage – the first place that every user visits.

What is the Multi Sell option?

The multi sell option provides a discounted rate for the number of adverts you place on the site within one transaction and they consist of either Multi Gold or Multi Diamond packages.

Multi Gold package

1 dress advert = £25
2 dress adverts = £20 each (save £10)
3+ dress adverts = £15 each (save £30)

Multi Diamond package

1 dress advert = £30
2 dress adverts = £25 each (save £10)
3+ dress adverts = £20 each (save £30)

How to price a dress?

Things to consider are

  • The condition of the dress.
  • The popularity of the style.
  • The age of the dress.

Another useful tip is to consider how much you realistically would sell the dress for if you were to place it on a sale rail in your shop.

How to make a listing?

  • Select the “Boutique page” tab on the top navigation bar.
  • Choose an advertise package – either gold or diamond.
  • Create an account or sign in.
  • Upload the details of your dress.
  • Check out.

How to sell more than one dress?

  • Choose either the Gold or Diamond package.
  • Upload the details of your first dress.
  • Then select the “add another dress” button to place a second or any further adverts to your order.

When are discounts applied?

To place an advert on the site it costs either £25 (for the gold package) or £30 (for the diamond package). This will give you an advert that will be listed on our site for a total of 12 months or until it is sold.

The discounts for adding more than one dress will automatically be applied when you select the “add another dress” button on the upload pictures page or on the checkout page. The relevant discount will then show on the summary page before you pay.

Please note that you cannot mix Gold and Diamond packages during one transaction.

Who pays for shipping or postage?

If the buyer is unable to visit your shop and they still may wish to make an online purchase. It is usually the responsibility of the buyer to pay for any shipping or postage fees.

Can boutiques use designer pictures?

It is always to best to check copyright laws when using pictures of any labels you stock and wish to list.

How to photograph a dress?

Our company's aim is to display your dress in style, and achieve enquiries for you.

This particularly applies to the photographs you use.

Tips:

Placing your dresses on a mannequin – it's always best to display dresses this way.

Portrait photos are preferable – We do except landscape pictures however due to the nature of this site and the programming it uses to crop photos, portrait pictures are always preferred.

Sizing of your photograph – Please use the standard sizing of 7X4 when ever possible and less than 5 Mega pixels.

Types and angles of your photos – try and use photographs that display the full length of your dress as well as some close up shots showing detail such as beading and embellishments. Photographs that show your dress from different angles can also be useful.

No marking or dubbing – If possible do not mark out any other faces that are displayed in your photos.

You must be the copyright holder – make sure you have the right to use the photos before displaying on our site.

Do bridal shops have to provide appointments?

As a shop you do not have to provide an appointment for brides to try and view your dresses but this tends to be the best way to achieve a sale.

Do shops have to offer a return policy?

Shops do not have to offer a return policy.

Why is it useful to link social media pages?

Social media can be a very useful tool within business especially with driving people to your website. There are also many benefits of connecting, linking and following other wedding related business pages. One benefit for example is the fans that are following certain pages can also see the posts of other business pages that are linked.

What does this mean?

This means that all connected wedding related businesses can subtly market (there are always certain standards to abide by here) to fans of the connected business pages, helping both parties grow their business by reaching more potential customers.

Having such connections will also improve where your business is placed on Google ranking so when an individual is searching for a general type of service your website will appear above your competitors.

Google works very closely with such sites like Facebook and Twitter and partly uses them as a method to estimate how active your page is. The more activity you have the more likely your site will move up the Google search listing and consequently get more activity.
